What about starting a project at &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.freshmeat.net/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;Freshmeat&lt;/a&gt;. This would allow a lot more people to find your software (as FM is (at least for me and others) the first address to search for OSS) and keep track of new versions.
